What to do? Inspired by nights on the couch watching Def Comedy Jam and challenged by his roommate\, Kevin decided to head over to nearby Madison\, WI\, and try the “OpenMic Night”. “I always was the guy who could make people laugh\, and let’s be honest\, I had nothing better going on”. \nFast forward to the present day\, and Kevin is still going on-stage\, and he has found the job that fits his requirements. “For an hour a night\, I’m wildly successful”. With a smooth and clever style\, a great smile\, and a contagious laugh\, Kevin has been entertaining in clubs and colleges across the country. In 2000\, he was the winner of the Midwest region of the HBO “Comedy Competition” and flew to Los Angeles to compete as a finalist. He performed on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” in 2003 and finished 2nd in the Boston Comedy Competition in 2005. He was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2015. DESCRIPTION:Atlantic City\, NJ’s Hooter started his musical journey in earnest at the beginning of 1974. As a child\, he was greatly influenced by his father’s love of Benny Goodman and big band jazz. Having heard the Beatles’ version of Twist and Shout in 1963\, he was hooked on bluesy rock n’ roll. A few years later\, the Allman Brothers’ version of One Way Out sealed the deal. Starting on guitar\, he bought his 1971 Fender Precision Bass in 1977 for a grand total of 150 dollars. Having done over 10\,000 gigs and counting at this point\, he’s definitely gotten his money’s worth! He’s played all over the US\, Canada\, and Europe\, including a tour of Israel in March 2000\, before moving to Phoenix/AZ\, in 2012\, where he’s been burning up stages ever since.
