    Join us for New Talent Thursdays featuring Jim “Jimfab” Helms! Jim Helms is a singer-songwriter that performs hits from the 50s through today with a modern coffee shop twist. Jim is a local Firefighter that has spent the past couple years using his musical talents for good. Jim plays mostly charity events in support of Fire, Police, and military. Over the past couple years Jim has helped raise thousands of dollars for many worthy causes as well as entertain hundreds of retired veterans that would not otherwise get the chance to enjoy live music.

    Comparisons to Steely Dan, Don Henley, Bryan Adams and Sting have been mentioned. Drummer Daniel Villanueva lays down a firm & steady groove for Bassist Al Mora to punctuate. Guitarists Michael and Angel Villanueva fill the mid and upper register with superb chords, as Michael’s catchy and sophisticated melodies are sung with passion.

    Pop, Rock Band
    The Brightside is a three-piece pop-rock band from Phoenix. Jacob Moran is the singer. His brother, Jesse, plays drums and switches between lead guitar and does back-up vocals as well. Rory Turtoro is the drummer. They have done various shows, and made it all the way to the semi-finals of Alice Cooper’s Proof is in the Pudding 2016.

    They’ve competed against 82 bands in Proof is in the Pudding, and finished within the top 15 bands of the Semi Final round. Other shows they have played is the Maricopa County Fair, Paradise Valley Community College, Paradise Valley High School’s STEAM Festival and open mic nights at various places.

    They play a combination of pop rock, acoustic and pop punk music. They are a family friendly band with fun, happy music as well as an energetic stage presence to keep the crowd entertained.

    Born and raised into a family of Latin musicians, Andres developed a passion for music at an early age. At the age of 12 he learned to play many traditional songs on the guitar and at the age of 16 began composing his own Latin music. Over the past six months Andres has put together an acoustic Latin group to show case his romantic compositions.
